Apple Valley Country Club was designed and built by Johnny Warash in February of 1963 and was managed by Dr. J.T. Mallamo.       Dr. Mallamo was a legendary amateur golfer in the North Central West Virginia region winning many tournaments including the National American Medical Association Championship in Rye, New York in 1954.  He regularly played courses throughout the country with such celebrities as Sam Snead, Jack Lemon and Perry Como.  Dr. Mallamo died in 2001.  Since then his daughter, Cecelia Mallamo, has served as Administrator and General Manager.
